This smoothie is as green as they come! A combination of greens, pineapple, and mango make it bright green. Despite it’s bright green color, this smoothie tastes delicious. It is one of my favorites to make for my guys after a holiday or weekend when we have eaten one to many unmentionables.

Pineapple contains an anti-inflammatory enzyme called bromelain that helps with digestion. It is also rich in manganese, a mineral that builds strong bones and connective tissue. Pineapple also packs a healthy punch of immune-boosting Vitamin C.

The secret ingredient in this smoothie is lime juice! It really brightens up the flavors. I like to peel the limes, the white pith included which can be bitter, and add it to the smoothie whole. This smoothie is a sweet, refreshing and healthy way to wake up and get back-on-track. For another delicious smoothie try this spirulina smoothie!

This Mango Pineapple Smoothie also makes a nutritious start to any day!

Whole limes give this smoothie a great flavor and mask the "green". To peel the lime, cut the top/bottom off, then cut down the sides to remove the skin/white part like you would a melon. Alternatively you can squeeze in lime juice at the end.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups frozen pineapple
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen mango
  • 2-3 cups greens spinach, kale, chard, etc.
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 2-3 whole limes peel/pith removed

Instructions

  • Combine all the ingredients in a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth. Enjoy!
